As the world came to a standstill due to Covid-19 crisis, businesses and companies are finding new ways to work and stay productive. They have found out that people can work from home and be productive in spite of the lock-down and curfews.
Although working from home and freelancing, etc, is not new, businesses and companies have been more comfortable in doing things the way they’ve always been doing things. Working from home has not been a very popular concept with companies who like to control every aspect of their employees’ time.
However, now that they are forced to embrace this new way of working, they are surprised by how resilient their employees are and more importantly, how productive they can be even without their supervision.
That, I think is a new insight most companies will have coming out of the crisis we are having today.
Once we figure out the best ways to work from home, overcome some of the challenges and gain new insights into how to do business, we are going to see a lot of changes in the way we work.
Working from home – the New Way of Working
Using these wonderful existing technologies, we are now working from home, delivering services and products to our clients and staying focused on being productive. New technologies will emerge in the near future that will allow us to work more effectively and efficiently. No doubt about that. More businesses and companies will now embrace the benefits of letting their employees work from home. Not to mention the obvious that working from home will allow them to cut their costs on renting offices, office equipment, and on even services like internet, electricity and transportation.
The world of work will change and change for the better in the near future.
